“Conversation is influenced by the shape of the space where people are gathered. Rows and a lectern is a shape for delivering a message; circle is a shape for putting purpose in the middle and listening to every participant’s contribution to the whole.” www.thecircleway.net
I like the circle way. Which do you prefer?
My blog posts might be short for a while as I broke my wrist Sunday and it’s quite difficult typing with a heavy plaster cast from hand to elbow.
I can hear the sighs of relief. At the shorter posts.
🙂
Bummer about the wrist!
I prefer the circle, too, especially in a sacred setting. My favorite chapel is designed that way, with the altar in the center. We do an a capella contemplative evensong there once a week, and it is lovely the way you can hear everyone’s voices.

It’s regrettable that I can’t pop over to Colorado and visit your chapel. I like very much the connections you make between well, the intimate and the Infinite. Hurray for a contemplative. I a parched of them (except for a small handful) in my life at the moment.
