Interesting! Did you use candle wax, or something similar? I am not much of an artist.

Hi, Renie. Encaustic is a mixture of beeswax and damar (tree) resin. You can add pigments to get colour. It’s an ancient tradition, modernised. Some only use beeswax. Candlewax is normally made up of paraffin wax which is not normally used in encaustic. 🙂
