My inch of the day today is an edited excerpt from my short-story-in-edit The Second Coming of Judas Iscariot, from my trio-of-tales-in-edit Leaves: Three Short Tales.
Bateson retrieved the book and placed it back on the desk, noticing with surprise it was a Bible and well-thumbed.
“The problem of Prisoner Loudas, sir?” I should’ve been off duty 20 minutes ago.
“Aha!” Wilsomm pounced on a coffee-stained folder.
Editing is more difficult than writing. How do you know when it’s perfect, finished, done?
I suppose it’s when it tells you it’s perfect, finished, done. What do you think?
I’d like to know.

Why the italics? Why Wilsomm with two m’s?

Hi. Thanks for your input. The italics are meant to signify my character’s thoughts. Wilsomm with two m’s – why not? (Can’t recall my original intent in this). I know in another story I had to change my character’s name SIX times because when I googled my choices, the first five were real person’s names. Maybe that’s the reason for the double m).
