I’ve been on holiday this week. Well, for three days, then both my husband and I had to return to work.
No, I’ve not been on one of those action holidays! I’m in the process of removing the antifouling paint from the hull of the boat my husband and I are restoring. It’s a 1970s Albin Vega. The paint used in the 1970s was toxic, hence the overalls mask and goggles.
It’s either this, or I become a yachting widow. If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. Actually, I enjoy doing this. I will enjoy it even better when I’m sunbathing on the coach roof with a gin and tonic or swimming in the Caribbean off the swimming ladder. Not that we have a swimming ladder yet.
I’ve fused two photos to get the one above. The background is a shot of the beautiful distressing of the hull. Everything is art!
