Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp,
but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

When I snapped this photo of our cat the other day, I had no idea she was ‘kissing’ this butterfly until I downloaded the image onto my computer.
-
I’m almost certain it’s a younger member of the species in the second photo below, which turned up in my garden in France.
-
I’ve had no luck in finding its name. Can anybody out there can identify it for me?

My cat didn’t eat the butterfly, just kiss it!

It certainly IS a Cinnabar Moth! Thanks for identifying it for me.
I also now know that had its larvae in the garden (and have a photo of one (at least) in fact) and the Senecio plants which the larvae like to eat.
